Scam Alert - Fake and Faulty PsP Memory Cards
I just recently bought a Sony PsP. It came supplied with the typical 32MB PsP Memory card, and it didn't take me very long to realize just how useless the 32Mb PsP memory card is. It is far too small to store much of anything at all.. So that means no music, no images and definitely no Videos or movies. It is a teaser, they give it to you with the Sony PsP to show you what you "can" have but don't have which then leads to you buying what you don't have , which is a decent sized storage area or PsP memory card.
I decided to check out Ebay and see if I could score myself a good price on a 4 GB PsP memory card. Ebay had a few memory cards for the PsP and before too long I had bid and purchased myself a 4Gb card. I also got a 2Mb PsP memory cards as well for a family member who was interested.
Finally the day came when my 4GB PsP memory card arrived and I eagerly unpacked it. I then installed it in my PsP and immediately formatted it, eager to start downloading. The memory cards formatted fine and I was on my way to PsP heaven... I thought. I downloaded a few ames to the 4GB memory card and all went smoothly until I trued to access the files.
.........DATA CORRUPT.....!!
I received data corrupted messages left, right and center but I battled on. I was eventually able to get a few games to work, but only just. Some would hang or stall and others would just not load. Things were looking bad. I decided to try the 2GB PsP Memory card. Guess what.... Yes, the same thing happened...

I went to Ebay to ask for help from the sellers. No luck, the sellers of the PsP memory cards I bought were no longer registered Ebay sellers.
Eventually, after many hours posting in forums, I asked for a refund from PayPal. They were able to comply, I was one of the lucky ones.. I was able to get my money back.
So next time you are buying something make sure you are getting the real thing and not second hand faulty parts from a scam artist selling on Ebay. I always look for a money back guarantee and traceable contact information. Now that the PsP memory cards 8 Gig version is released I am sure there will be some not so honest people out there trying to sell below standard goods to the unsuspecting public.
